SOCIAL AND PERSONAL NOTES
Sir Robert and Lady Lockhart, of Auckland, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs Twigg. who has been visiting Dunedin, returned to Wellington on Sunday. Mrs B. Speedy (Featherston) who arrived yesterday, is staying at the Royal Oak. Mrs G. A. Richardson, '.vho has been staying with her mother in Nelson, has returned. Mr and Mrs F. Munro (Westport) are staying at the Grand. Mrs Palmer (Featherston) is on a visit to Wellington, and is staying at the Royal Oak. Mrs Tilley, who has been staying with Mrs Kebbell, returns to Blenheim tomorrow. Mrs Johnston (Highden), accompanied by her sister, Mrs Robson, left yesterday for Rotorua. Mrs Hayter (Burke’s Pass) is on a visit to Wellington, and is staying at the Grand. Mrs Rowland Browning (Auckland) is staying at the •Grand. Dr Cowie and Ur Helen Cowie (Auckland) are staying at the Royal Oak. Miss Macnab (Blenheim) arrived on Saturday on a short visit to Wellington. Mrs C. A. Whitney (Auckland) is staying at the Royal Oak. Mrs Barnicoat (Wanganui) is staying at the Grand. Sir end Sirs Vavasour (Blenheim), who have been visiting SVanganui and STaverley, returned last night to Wellington and are staying at the Royal Oak. Dr arid Sirs Barr (Nelson) have gone on a visit to New Plymouth. Miss ,T. Tlislop, who has been staying in Christchurch, has gone to Dunedin. Miss E. Gray is staying in New Plymouth with her brother, Mr Cecil Gray. Sirs B. B. Smith is visiting Napier. On Wednesday next Sliss Vera Fulton is giving a farewell tea for Sliss E. SVat. son, who is leaving next month for England. Chamber concerts will bo given by Sliss Beatrice Richmond (piano), Sliss Sf. Donaldson (violin), and Sir F. E. Johnstone (’cello), in the Sydney street schoolroom on Starch 22nd, April sth, and April 19th.
