FIREWORKS AT DAY’S BAY

The grounds at Bay’s Bay should prove an ideal spot for a fireworks, display, and given fine weather doubtless a large number Of people will make the trip across the harbour on Monday evening. Mr R. T. Bickerton,; who is giving the exhibition, promises that this display will be the largest ewer, given in Wellington. There will be many set pieces, the beauty of which will be , greatly enhanced by the natural background of shrubs and native bush that adorn the grounds.. Specially attractive sets will bo found in the waterfalls, cascade fountains and Halley’s comet. Ol the revolving sets the double chromatropcs and large Saxon and rainbow wheeds are most popular. A novelty will be given in the flights of Italian streamers, and in addition to the large number of set pieces, there will bo a liberal supply of rockets and aerial .shelly with beantiful star clusters, Flamos will give his daring act of Are club swinging. The Ferries Company have made I arrangements to ca rry a large number of passengers, and special steamers are advertised. , ‘
