CONGRATULATIONS TO THE KING
MOTION PASSED BT THE! HOUSE. At a later stage of the day’s procoed T ings the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph. AVard. moved: That this House desires to record its respectful congratulations to his V Majesty upon I .the Coronation, and to - express the hope , that ; the reign of . his Majesty and Queen Mary may be a long and happy one. Sir Joseph Ward said that the House would not be in session at the time of the Coronation, but it would bo both, right and customary that a. resolution for Parliament should be conveyed by his Excellency. This one would therefore go Home at the proper time. The motion was carried. The Prime Minister also moved, and it was agreed, that a respectful address bo presented to his Excellency tho iGovomon transmitting the resolution and requesting him to forward it to the Secretary of State for tho Colonies.
