Palmer, bon. secretary of the Military Tournament -Committee, is in receipt of a communication definitely announcing that a team of the No. 1 Australian Field Battery will take part in the tournament. , The Kev. S. Stephens, .L. Th„ who has been ■ temporarily appointed .to All Saints, Palmerston North, - arrivedyesterday/ and will conduct services on Sunday. , . , Mr Buckrell, of Tararua, sustained' severe injuries to one of his arms while, shearing sheep, severing one of the mam arteries; ’ lie was removed to tho Palmerston' hospital. .• _ The treasurer’s -report ,at tho Orqiia County Connell’s monthly meeting, showed: Bates outstanding 1909-10/ .£55 Us 4d; rates levied. 1910-11. .£4830; collected, .£2279 15s; outstanding, .£2550 4s 4d; hank balances—general account, dr.. ,£2OOO 6s 6d, interest account, dr., .£SBO 8s 7d, Gorge bridge account. .£(138 3s lOd.
