GRATIFYING FIGURES FOE EIGHT MONTHS. PEDIS MINISTER’S ■ OPTIMISM. A statement of the Dominion’s revenue for the eight months ended •• November 30th was presented to Parliament yesterday by the Prime Minister, along with a comparison with the corresponding eight months last year. 1 The figures were

The Prime Minister remarked that no was glad the upward tendency of our revenue was as marked now as when ho ; spoke on the subject on a previous occasion. The increased revenue for the eight months amounted to .£645,930, and he did not think there could be anything more . satisfactory. ; than what , these figures pourtrayed. As a result - ot a largo sum of money coming into,, the country they would find that money would be procurable at a lower basis of interest, which meant ixicreased investment in commercial, business and land investment, and he : was certain we were going to have better times dunng tho next twelve months than wo had had during the last’ five years, ;.
