THE WELLINGTON CLUB. - The Wellington Swimming Club held its first race of the season at Te Are baths last evening over a distance'of 50 yards. Following was tho result: —First heat — W. J; O'Meara (Bsec), 1; L. Bridge (2sec), 2; J.'McCarlie (Isec),' 3.' ' Also started — Donovan (9sec), Peart (8&ec), Roberts (2scc), Levy (scr). Time, 37 1-ssgc. Second heat —S. Murrell (Isec), 1; Crowther (3sec) 2; Blundell (3soc),' / Bruoe. (3sec) and McLean (Ssec), dead heat, 3. Also star te cl—W yn n (Ssec), McGregor (Ssec). Time, 32 l-ssec. Final—O'Meara, 1; Murrell, 2; Bridge 3. Time, 33scc.
