LADIES’ BffANCH. , The annual .meeting of the ladies' branch of the Swift® Amateur Swimming Club was hold; last, evening, a fair number of mem■,b£rs attending. ‘ 1 , The annual report wao adopted after a short discussion. - A committee was elected to aot as an advisory, body to the general committee oJ the clubi those elected-being: ,Mrs Lamb Misses O. Moves,' O. Smith, D ; Webb,- G‘ Turton, 11. Murrell,. and S. Murrell (hon secretary). - - - -It was decided to hold a schoolgirls' brehat stroke race on' December 16th, ’ and a race'for■ seniorsmembers early in January. An application is to be made to the •Wellington Centre for a date fo ran afternoon carnival at ,Te Aro baths. * The election of ' a patroness, and other •officers wa <j >"id over till the . first' meeting of the committer
