FIRST ISSUE CIRCULATED YESTERDAY.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright MELBOURNE, December 1. The new Commonwealth bank-notes were put into circulation to-day. ORDINARY FORMS USED. (Received December 1, 8.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 1. The notes are tho ordinary forms of the respective banks, w-ith’the words “Australian Note Payable in Gold, at Commonwealth Treasury, seat of Government” printed across the middle.
