GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY (By the Government Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. Thursday) are for heavy rain and rivers flooded in the far north, and increasing humidity and cloudiness will probably be followed by general rain within the next three days. The barometer will probably fall everywhere, and strong easterly and southerly winds prevail, (Details on shipping page).
