AN EDUCATIVE MOVEMENT
Mr .r. H. Kicc, Prof&ssor of Poultry Husbandry at the New York State College of ■ Agriculture, has written to a valued correspondent, llrs Worthy, of Hairei-a, outlining mi important project of the Inteiuational Association of instructors and Investigators. This is iiL the direction of organising similar associations in other countries of the world and welding these together in a strong federation. A committee ha-s been apt pointed to take up the campaign with poultrymen in different countries. The object, of course, of this world-wide move- j ment of organised effort is to brine I about better investigation and education j in poultry husbandry. This will also! facilitate a better exchange of publiea- j tions giving the lntest results of jnvesti- ! gational work in various countries. Professor Rice is anxious that a. similar or- ' ganisation should be formed in New Zca- j land. The association is not a commer-
cial organisation. It is made up entirely of teachers or investigators in poultry husbandry. Annual meetings are hold and annual reports are published. It is hoped by the American directors that, in the near future international conferences be held, and this at a point where the largest possible gathering of poultrymen can be secured. 1 would like to have the opinions of readers on the idea.
