N.Z. MOTOR CYCLE CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual general mooting of the New Zealand Motor Cycle Club was held' last evening at tile dubroom in Messrs Dalgery and Co.'s premises, Tborndon quay. Mr L. A. Edwards occupied the chair. There were about thirty members present. - The balance-sheet showed in at the affairs of the club were in a very satisfactory condition, and the report recorded that during the year the following competitions were hold:—

The combined, trials, February 18tli and 19th, open to any rider, which attracted thirty-live entries, many from north and Boftth. and which must be considered one of the most successful trials held in New Zealand.

A petrol consumption teat to Upper Hull and back; two hiii climbs, the first at Houghton Bay and the second on the ilornington ©state, the latter being a surprise hill climb and attracting twenty-three starters.

Til© club’s opening run. two moonlight picnics, and two club runs, one to Wainui-o-mata and ono to Maeterton, were also, well attended.

Tin© present club membership is seventy* one. ■ The club thanked Messrs E/ Reynolds iVid Co., Ltd., Cycle and Motor Supplies, Ltd., Adams, Ltd., E- Rosenberg • and Co., and A. G. Healing and 0o.» for donating troplues for the combined trials held last February, and the Cycle and Motor Supplies, Ltd., E. Daniel, and C. D. Bridge for trophic for club events: the Vacuum Oil Co., and Hr Beauchamp Platts for trophies for competitions yet to to' hold; and Mr J. F. Atkina for a cup as a private owners’ trophy, to be competed for annually on Labour Day. The following officers were elected:— President. Mr E. W. Dimiol; vice-nreoidento (subject to their acceptance®.), Mr H. G. Smith, Dr Why fro, Mr E. Reynolds, Da* Robinson, Mr J. Oarne-Bldwill, Mr E. N. Barton, Mr P. N. Adams, Dr Gibbs, /Mr T. Inglis, and Dr Pigeon; chairman, Mr P. J, Macdonald; hou. secretary and treasurer, Mr 0, D. Bridge; oatrtain, Mr W. H. Stone; vice-captain, Mr F. J. Macdonald; auditors, Messrs L. A. Edwards and P. J." Macdonald; trials hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr W. H. Stoas; committee, Messrs W. H. Nimmo, L. R. Barber, E. P. Sealey, K. S. Bender, and C. G. Sherwood. A committee wa®. appointed to revise the rules. A hearty vote of thanks was pasf.ed to Mr Bridge for his services as secretary, and also to the Cvcle and Motor Supplies Co. for their supply of refreshments at Otaki on the occasion of tha 1 recent run to Palmerston and back.
