MR ROOSEVELT "SHELVED.”
NHW TORE REPUBLICANS RESENT BIG STICK POLICY. By Telegraph—Proas Association—Copyright. (Received August 17, 8.55 pan.) NEW YORK, August 17.
The Republican committee has nominated Vice-President Sherman, rejecting Air Roosevelt, for the temporary chairmanship of the State Convention, despite President Taft’s disapproval of oippoaition to Mr Roosevelt. The fight will probably continue at the meeting of the convention at Saratoga on September 27th. The committee's notion in this instance proves that Mr Roosevelt is not to be allowed to outline Republican State policies.
