LATE SHIPPING
The Kapuni left Wellington vestorday for Puponga to load coal for Patea. from which port she is duo back at Wellington about Saturday. The coastal steamer Arapawa was brought off the Wellington patent slip yeeterday and berthed at the Oueeu's wharf to complete overhaul. She is to sail this afternoon for Wanganui. Messrs Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Wootton is to leave Lyttelton on Saturday for Wellington. Captain F. Holm, late of the Lauderdale, is contemplating a visit to Australia at an early date in connection with the purchase for Messrs Pearson and Co-, Melbourne, of a small steamer to trade between Melbourne and Geelong. H.M.S. Torch is being converted into a wireless telegraph station at Sydney. The deckhouse in connection with the apparatus is nearing completion.
