Tho former scored 23 to Kia Toa's 3. Tho j unioir matches were: — Levin Wanderers B v. Levin Wanderers A; plaved at Levin. B's won by 23 to 3. Tainui v. Shannon; played at Koreru. Tainui won by 9 to 8. At Manakau, Koputarca beat Hui Mad by 3 points to nil.
LEVIN HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. The Levin Horticultural and Industrial Society is one of tho best institutions on this coast, and this year's annual report shows a credit balance of .£ll odd. Last year there was a loss, but the management took the bull by the horns and now the society is in a thoroughly healthy condition. The total receipts were <£l2o I2s. SHANNON BOWLING CLUB. This chib held its annual euchre party and danco on Friday night. This club has beci; and is very popular, and much enjoyment has been found by both sexes oi! the green from time to time.
