VBEBS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, May 28. As showing the extent of the burden imposed by tho rating of non-propriet-ary sports grounds, it is stated that the average rates on Lancaster Park for five years had been £75 per annum, approximately 10 per cent, of the income. Tho Lintvood Tennis Club pays ,£7 13s lid on less than an acre, tho Avonsido Tennis Club £9 16s on an aero, the Canterbury Tennis Club >£32 11a 2d on threequarters of an. acre, and tho Christchurch Bowling Club .£ls 18s Cd on less than three-quarters of an acre.
