It Is not wise to nso a dressing of oil I for the hair unless the hair .is exceedmglv dry. Healthy hair has enough oil of its own to keep it in good condition, and the application of cxrra oil is said to dertror its vitality. The only time that oil is"admissible is after the hair has been washed, when a very little may be rubbed on the scalp with the finger tips. A pimple and excellent oil for the purpc«e is composed of flyoeriive and water in the proportion of three parts of the latter to one of the former.
