Yesterday's raco (the third) for the Sayonara Cup was over a. course of twenty miles—ten miles to windward and hack. Tho wind was smart, and there- was a light sea. The Sayonara took the lead almost from the start, steadily widening the gap separating the contestants, and rounded tho "buoy ■7min 40sco ahead of tho Culwalla. The home journey was made with a fresh wind astern, the Sayonara. finishing 13min 12sec'to tho good. This is lmin '3osec more than tho extreme time allowance she could be asked to give the Culwalla.
