ROTTEN RAILWAY RUNNING
(To the 'Editor " N.Z. Times.") Sir, —Some two months ago a deputation waited on the Minister of RailKays ro stopping the 5.10 p.m. train at Kaiwarra to allov,- the wo'rking men to get on it, and the Minister said then that ho did not see why it should not be arranged. 80 far, however, it is still running past. I think that between thirty and forty men ought surely to get a little consideration when they have to hang about for thirty-five minutes nightly before they can get a start for home. Tho department seems to think that Kaiwarra is not worth considering in the matter of running up-trains, for this is.an old grievance of over two years' standing, and : the attention of the department has been called to it time after time. —I am, WORKER. Petone, February 17th, 1910.
