' CANDIDATE OFFERS TO RETIRE. By Telegraph—Presi Association—GopyriEht. SYDNEY, February 18. Following on the recent deadlock which occurred over the election to the Primacy of Australia, the Right Rev. Dr Oamidgc, Bishop of Bathurst, has requested the Archbishops to.exercise their right to vote when a fresh vote for the Primate is being taken. The Archbishop of Brisbane, Dr Donaldson, has conditionally offered to retire, in favour of the Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Wright, with whom he previously tied with eight votes.
