DID ELECTORS CONDEMN REi JEOTION OF BUDGET? A LORD SAYS "NO." ' Interesting comments upon the political position are made in a letter to a correspondent by Lord Avebury, (better known as Sir John Lubbock. " I certainly do not think," he remarks, "that it can bo said that tho electors have condemned tlio rejection of tho Budget by the House of Lords. No doubt the result of the elections must exercise a restraining influence upon the Liberal leaders. It seems to me that Mr Asquith has promised to give Home Rule for Ireland, but not in the immediate future."
