THEATEH ROYAL. This week's programme at the iXheatre Royal merits the patronage wliich is nightly bestowed on this popular place of amusement. The first portioned’’ the programme is bright and lively, the singing and dancing of- the various artists being well up to the best standard. There is no deterioration in the second portion of. the entertainment, the whole furnishing a pleasant and acceptable evening’s amusement. FISK JUBILEE SINGERS. On Saturday night next, at the Town Hall Concert Chamber, that melodious organisation, the Fisk Jubilee Singers, will inaugurate another Now Zealand tour. These coloured singers have appeared in alt parts of the civilised world., and have become famous chiefly by the splendid results they have achieved in concerted music. All who have heard the beautiful jubilee choruses and plan tation melodies have been charmed, with their quaintness and wonderful melociy. It is a safe thing to say that in this respect the Jubilee Singers stand unrivalled. There are in all “nine oembars in the present- company, including numerous talented vocalists witli voices of rare quality and sweetness. The programmes to be presented will be of a very varied character, and contain not a little of the humorous element. The box plan for the season is now open a* the Dresden. No extra charge is made for booking. THE CORNISH PIXIE.
