INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION COMMITTEES SET UP
Tile’ committee of the Wellington Provincial Industrial Association met last night to set up various committees in connection with the industrial exhibition to bo held in the Harbour Board's U Shed in Alay and June next. Mr E. Bull occupied tho chair. The following committees were elected: Executive committee : —To consist of alk mambers of tho general committee and Messrs J. B. Haroourt, W. Ferguson, H. C. Tewsley, C. W. Jones, R. E. Wood, A. E. Pearce, W. A. Kennedy, A. A. Corrigan, AX. Kennedy, T. G, McCarthy, C. B. Bowie, N. Road, H. Beauchamp, W, G. Foster and Fleming. Power was given to the committee to add to their number. Finance committee: Alessrs McCarthy, Haroourt, Biss, Fletcher, Brice and president, vioo-pre-eidents and treasurer. Space committee : Messrs Soarfcon, Blanton, E. Smith, Ballinger and Crease. Advertising and printing coononittoo: Alessrs Seaton, Blanton, A. Brown, AlcLeay and Corrigan. Entertainment committee: Messrs* Newton, J. P. Luke, Brooks, Kenny, Dykes, Pxouse, Hill. Seaton and L. Jones. Building committee: Messrs A. B. Anderson, Ballinger, Palliser, Kupli and Alartin. Education and fine arts committee: Messrs La Trobo, Stowart, Leo, Fleming, J. P. Luke, Quoroe, Dr. Fell, Dr. Fyfie, H. S. Wardell and J. W. Kirk. The secretary of the Wellington branch of the Navy League wrote asking the association to grant a small space freo of charge to enable the league to make a display and exhibit some of its map©, pfliotos, diagrams, books and trophies. This was asked with the idea of the league showing its -aims and objects with a view to extending its membershipTho letter was referred to the space committee, with power .to act.
