QUARREL LEADS TO MURDER.
MAN SHOT DEAD FARMER KILLS HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW. AND COMMITS SUICIDE, By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received February 8, 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 8.
A tragedy is reported from Eureka, near Ballina (a seaport 330 miles to tho north of Sydney), as tho result of a quarrel between two farmers named, respectively, Clark and Keys.
Tho tw r o men. were drinking together and in the course of a quarrel which arose, Clark shot Keys, who was his brother-in-law, dead.
Thereupon tho murderer turned his weapon against himself, and blow his own brains out.
First, however, he told his wife that ho had killed Keys, and then committed suicide in her presence, despite all her efforts to dissuade him.
