HARBOUR BOARD
The Wellington Harbour Board met yesterday. /Present: M.essrs_T. M. Wford, M.P-' (chairman), K. Fletcher, U W. Jones F. G. Eoltorj, M Cohen, G. Harkness, C. E. Darnell, J. W. Mcliwen, Hon. T. Kennedy Maedonald, M L.C.; and Dr Newman. The list of all persons, firms, ano/comnanieg known to have paid to the Board the sum of .£lO and upwards during 1809/ constituting the roll of electors (being payers of dues), for the election of members of harbour boards, was apamounting to J 230.936 9s 7d were passed. On the recommendation of the wharves and accounts committee, it was decided ,to grant a foreshore license for a boat shed and skids in Evans Bay to Mr N; Gibbs on the usual terms, subject to the approval of tho plans by the Governor in Council; to adopt the recommendation of the engineer not to provide cranes on the Clyde quay wharf until it is shown they are necessary.
