Tho trial ol Peter Bowling, Daniel Hutton, Janies Butler, and William O’Connor under tho new strike law of- last session (tho Industrial Disputes Amendment Act), for having taken .part in a mooting recently on the South Coast, was resumed to-day in tho Industrial Court, before Judge Rodgers. Evidence given by the managers of a : number of Southern collieries went to show that tho agreement between tho mine-owners and the miners expired • in March last, but 'since then they: had been working under the old agreement;- and conditions. Tho witnesses declared they know of no real grievances the Southern men had. I THE SOUTHERN BALLOT.. . FAVOURS' WAGES BOARD AND - NEW, CONGRESS. (Received January 18, 0.10 a.m.) | SYDNEY, January 17.
