The barometer has fallen everywhere during the past thirty-six hours, with increasing humidity and, cloudiness. Rain set in to-day in most parts southward of New Plymouth and Napier, and is also threatening elsewhere. Present indications are for a further fall in barometric pressure and a continuance of cloudy and unsettled weather. Rain ia probable generally, with rivers flooded on the West Coast.
