ROMNEY MARSH RAMS

The Manawatu district is famous for breeding Romney Marsh rams, there being keen competition every yeaT from, various parts of the Dominion, for rams from 6ome of our well known flockmasters. For some years past a number, of these sheep have been sent to Poverty Bay and this year more, have been forwarded than usual. . The 6heep sent were a particularly good line, being of good quality, well grown and in good condition, reflecting great credit on the breeders —Messrs Tanner, Rowland, and Voss, all of Longburn,. and the Poverty Bay rtmholdere are to bo congratulated upon having secured such nigh-alass rams. Consignments from Messrs Voss and Byman have also been 6ent to Hawke'6 Bay and Taranaki, and one of Messrs Slack Bros.' etud English- Leicasters was sant to a well-known Gisborne breeder. The sale of these sheep -was negotiated by the Palmerston branch of the New Zealand loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and in addition to above a large number of rams have been disposed of to local buyers. . ..•.;.

Tihere is a very large number of enttaiets for the Feilding show on February Ist and 2nd, including stock from a .wide district. It promises to be a record show.
