Ladv Butler, the celebrated artist, ha« just .brought out a book that will delight many. It is illustrated by her, and. contains many "an amusins anccdott of her adventures in many lands. On« told of a Tipperary goat will amuse. "On one occasion at church in Tip« perary I noticed a rathor Satanic goat come patteriiur up the church and occupy an empty pew, whore ho lay down with perfect self-complacency and remained quiescent, chewing the cud, whilo we knelt; but each tune the congregation stood up, up jumped tho goat, his pale eyes and enormous horns ]ubU appoaring over tho high front of tho pew. • ' "Then as we knelt again he would subside also, till ho was startled to his feet once more by the rusllo of the people rising, and won his wild head was again visible over tho top of. tho pew, staring about him.' Not a eiuElo person took any notice of tho weird creature, or seemed to think him out of place or at all funny. And so he continued to irise and fall with the rest t<2 the end.
