CHILDREN'S PARTY AT PALMERSTON

"Highden," the residence -■ of Mrs Walter Johnston, was tho scene of a very enjoyable children's garden party on "Wednesday afternoon (says our correspondent),' when motor-cars from all parts of tho district, conveyed proud parents and expectant juveniles ■to Awahuri. The afternoon was spent in running races and playing games, while refreshments were provided and a string band played. Among those who'brought their children jwere Mr and Mrs Percy Baldwin, ', Mrs G.
