CHILDREN'S PARTY AT PALMERSTON
"Highden," the residence -■ of Mrs Walter Johnston, was tho scene of a very enjoyable children's garden party on "Wednesday afternoon (says our correspondent),' when motor-cars from all parts of tho district, conveyed proud parents and expectant juveniles ■to Awahuri. The afternoon was spent in running races and playing games, while refreshments were provided and a string band played. Among those who'brought their children jwere Mr and Mrs Percy Baldwin, ', Mrs G. N. Pharayzn, Ux and Mrs Goring-John-ston, Mr and Mrs F. J. Nathan, Mr and Mrs Lionel Abraham, Mr■ and Mrs Forster-Pratt, Mr and Mts' H. R. Cooper, Mr and Mrs H. N. 'Watson, Mesdames Warburton, O. K." WaldeSraVc, J. D. R. Hewitt, J.' G. Wilson, Captain and Mrs . Levin. The young folk spent a most v enjoyable time, and at the close of the : afternoon,trooped homo tired but very happy;', '•
