Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed over -the North Island, and southerly in the South. Heavy gales were reported last night and this morning in Fovoaux Strait. Present indications are for a rising barometer .im the "wth Island, with moderate to strong iiitherly winds, cloudy and changeable „e>ither.
