A "TOTE" DIVIDEND
HOSPITAL TRUSTEES FERVENTLY THANKFUL. Tho Wellington Hospital Trustees drew a totalisator dividend of £lB 5s yesterday, but lest it should bo thought that they had been gambling, it should bo explained that this was half tho amount wliioh, owing to an error, could not ho paid to patrons of the totalisator at tho Hutt Valley Trotting Olub’a recent mooting. In forwarding tho, cheque, the secretary of the club stated that a similar amount was being sent to tho Benevolent Trustees. The donation was very acceptable. “Wo ought to go down on our knees and.pray that they make another mistake,” remarked Mr A. Smith. Tho Hon. C. M. Luke: Wo fervently wish, if we don’t pray, that it shall happen again. Mr Nash: Yes, we want it! Tiro dividend , was received with thanks. '-t-
