HOSPITAL TRUSTEES
At the 'Wellington Hospital Trustees’ meeting yesterday tho Hon. C. JM. Luke (chairman), Messrs R. C. Kiric, A. Smith,- G. London-, G. Nash, J. W. McEwan, and. F. T. Mooro were present. It was shown that 210 persons were in tho hospital, comprising 87 males and 63 females in tho general hospital, and 34 males and 26 females in the Victoria and Seddon hospitals. Last.'year’s total was 253. _ • _ - 1 ' The financial statement indicated a credit balance of £IOBO, as compared with £714 brought forward from December 14th. During tho month £177 had been received from rents, £304 in-„ patients’ fees, £2O from out-patients,’ ’and £l5O as contributions .to Victoria Hospital. - , HOUSE COMMITTEE. The report of the House Committee [included recommendations which were [adopted as follow : That estimates of the cost of tho excavations and respective buildings in looimeotion with tho Children's Hospital be further • considered; tho contribution of £23 from Freemasons be' sot aside for purchase of piano for Children's Hospital; that Mr London and tho chairman affix seal and sign the contract for tho Infectious Diseases (Hospital; tho fender (lowest) of. Messrs George and George for supply of bedsteads be accepted; the remuneration .of.-clerk of works, Infectious Diseases Hospital, bo £4 10s per week.
