SURFEITED WITH POLAR TALK
AMERICANS AND ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. , LONDON, January 10. It is suggested by Sir Hermon Bumpus, director of the Museum of Natural History of New York, that the proposed , American expedition should' approach the Antarctic not by Sir Ernest Shaoklcton’s route, but by way of Coode Island or Wilkes Land. The “Daily Telegraph’s” correspondent at New York believes that tin* average American is bored by the subjoct of Polar’research, and that if an expedition starts it will take the l easiest route.
