TRESB ASSOCIATION. GREYMOUTH, January 10. In several cases before the Court today under the vagrant clauses of the Police Act tho informations were dismissed, owing to want of sufficient evidence showing actual criminality. Reni Rosa.ti was committed for trial on a charge of attempted theft from the person.
In one case of vagrancy, accused was alleged to have purchased Tongan beans at the rate of fiftv for a shilling, scented them with oil of lavender, and then sold them for a shilling each 'thus making funds enough to carry him from one race meeting to another.
