EXPORTS FROM POVERTY BAY. PBESS ASSOCIATION. - GISBORNE, January 10. For Decembor tho Kia Ora Dairy Company paid suppliers the record sum of £3600 for butter-fat. For the first time in tho history of this district the exports from Poverty Bay for 1909 amounted to over a million sterling. - Tho actual figures were £1,040,621. In 1903 the amount was £865,159, and in 1907 just under tho million.

During the quarter ending June 30th, 1909, 27ewt. of cheese, valued at £7O, the first exported for many years, was sent out, and in the quarter ending December 31st the first export of| barley, namely. 6220 bushels, valued at £7OOJ was made.
