THE WAIKARE INQUIRY
ASSESSORS APPOINTED. The Marine Department advises that -tho assessors who will adjudicate with a magistrate at the inquiry to be held at Dunedin to-morrow into the loss of tho Waika.ro will be OUptain C. Post and Captain C. F. Sundstrum. Captain Post, who is master of tho Government steamer Tutanekai, has had a lengthy experience- at sea, and during the period of his employ with the Union Company, Und .afterwards as master of tho Government steamers, gained a considerable knovvlcdgo of the New Zealand coast ±Li\d the West Coast sounds.
Captain 'Sundstrum is managingdirector of a Dunedin coastal steamship «.'otupany. He was formerly master of tho steamer Invercargill, and traded for somo yca.rs on the coast in soiling vessels. C'apt'ain Post went south by the Maori last night-
