A Press Association message relates that a meeting of citizens at Chrietchurch yesterday decided to cable Lord Kitchener and inquire what he would prefer in the way of entertainment ■while in Christehurch—a garden party. a banquet, or the presentation of an address. A wag who was told of the incident said it was a wonder that the Christehurch people had not cabled to Kitchener to ask him whether he would urefer tea, coffee, or cocoa.
