Mrs and Miss Fonnikor return to Napier to-day. Mr and Mrs Hjorring left for Oaraaru last night. Mr and Mrs '.Thompson left for Titnam last night. Mr and Miss Cecil Louisson left for Sydney yesterday. Mrs and Miss Brookfield return to Wanganui on Monday. Mr and Mrs Bradley, of Auckland, aro staying at the Grand. Mrs Mira Southan is now staying with her sister, Mrs Samuel, at the Hutt. Jits J. E. 'tdton returned yosterci..., at to Palmerston North. Mr and Mrs Bruce and Miss Margaret Bruco have returned from Buy's Bay House. Mrs E. Glanvillo Hicks has gono to Hawera to sj>end-a short holiday with her relatives there. Mrs and Miss Moore, of Bidwill street, aro the guests of Mrs Averill at Mungatoro station. The engagement is announced of Mr A. C. Trip<q son of the late Br Tripe, to Miss Meta Burke, daughter of Mrs A. H. Gore, of Napier. Guests at the Windsor include Mr and Miss Wilkie, of Melbourne, Misses Symo (2), of Melbourne, and Mr and Mrs Armitage, of Wanganui. Mrs W. A. Mason, accompanied byi Miss M. Whitney, arrived from Sydney by the Moeraki on Tuesday, on an| extended visit, and are the guests of: Mrs Matherson, Macdonald crescent. On Christmas Day at Sandon Mr, and Mrs Thomas Harris celebrated their golden wedding, having been, married on Becember 25th, 1859. Mr and Mrs Harris have lived in the Manawatu for nearly forty years. Miss Talbot, general secretary of the Victoria League, who is shortly to, visit New Zealand, is a daughter of the Right Hon. Sir John Gilbert Talbot, P.C., who has been M.P. for Oxford University since 1878.
