MOTOR ACCIDENT

OAR TOPPLES OVER WAIMAEAMA ZIG-ZAG. A motor accident occurred to a party on the Walmarama road at about 4.40 .p.m. on Wednesday (says the Napier “Telegraph"!. Tho car belonged to Mr H. The emergency brake refused to act, with the result that the car went over the bank somersaulting three times in its descent. A man on horseback passing, rode to Mr John Chambers's place. Mokapeka, and wired to Hastings for Dr Tosswill, and Mr Chambers got his own car ready to go to their assistance. He took some o: the party on to Hastings, and on the way met Dr. Tosswill. who attended to tho girl's injury, and Mr Chambers took them home to West Clive. Dr Tosswill then went on and brought the rest of the party on to Hastings. The car was badly smashed.
