""■ ; CHAMPIONSHIP" 'MEETINGS; '", A PROTEST, . - A meeting of the Wellington' _ Centre of the N.Z.A. Swimming Association, was. held last night. Mr Joslin presided, and fifteen members were present. • The council wrote intimating that the New Zealand championships had been allotted to Auckland, further stating that Wanganui last year applied for the 1910-11 'championships, the council favouring the suggestion. Mr G. S. Hill moved, and the motion, after long discussion and amendment, was.; carried'•.—"That this centre.protests against the unjust treatment bv the council in not having been allotted" the conduct of the championships since their inception nine years ago Having regard to all the circumstances, this. centre will take into consideration the. question of , refusing to nominate .representative's at. the. fortb> coniins championships unless the council sees, fit to re-allot the championship eVenta for 1910-11 in favour of this centre."The Thorndon and Swifts Clubs are to be bracketed as winners -of the 1907-8 polo championship. Mr G. S. Hill resigned the post of secretary to the centre. Mr B. C. Freyberg is the new secretary and Mr H. W.
