Tho Royal British and,Colonial Society of Artists is organising an exhibition of tho works of living oolonial artists in connection with the Festival of Empire to be held next year. The Earl of Plymouth, in announcing tiho fact, said that such men as Morrioe (the Canadian), and Menpes, Lambert, and Bunny (Australians), had carved their way to the very front ranks of British artists, but the atmosphere of Paris pervaded their canvases. He suggested that the .exhibits at the Festival of Empire should show work produced in the colonies, as an instance of tho atmosphere of their particular homes, with which British art-lovers were wholly unacquainted.
