MR STEAD’S REVELATIONS

(To the Editor “ N.Z. Times.”) Sir,—The Auckland “Star” says “that the only wise and scientific attitude for the world to adopt towards such claims as those put fdrwurd by Mr Stead and others is one of suspended judgment and painstaking inquiry after the truth. Th© comment of this journal should be taken to heart by those who have rushed into print in the opposite direction,-and know not what they are doing. It js easy to ridicule anything of this nature, for th© “truth” is difficult to unfold, the wavs of God being so subtle and devious. So "few people have a proper appreciation of their own natures, being so much absorbed by their material senses, that they cannot bo brought to see that every man !is a divine incarnation of Ocd, and, J therefor© in possession of superior senses or faculties which can bo. developed to 1 the extent of seeing, heaving, and conversing with the souls of beings now' living in eternity with God. Spiritualism is doing much to demonstrate that the incarnate beings of earth are in daily touch with the discarnate beings of hear on, despite the ridicule ot the incredulous. To those whose finer or higher senses are dormant, and consequently dead for the timo being. It is no use appealing; nor is it of much use appealing to those whose minds are warned and biassed bv antiquated theological ideas. But notwithstanding the heedlessness ot the former and the scoffing of the latter there is a profoundly studious and deepthinking stratum of society, which contains many units who so© in Mr Stead s revelations the natural and orderly unfoldment of great and important facts in life. So great and so important are these revelations that tho transformation of earth to heaven will be the early result of these discoveries, and so soon will- this be manifested that most ot ns living to-day will universally bail the rapidly-approaching millennium boloro passing from the world of matter to tho universe of spirit that envelops ns all. Tlio coming of tho Kingdom of Heaven on earth draws nearer and nearer as the mountains of dross and rubbish m which antiquated theology has clothed the minds of men are removed hy such brave and truthful men ns Mr Stead, who cares not for the jibes and hysteria of the iguorant and prejudiced, who eannot or will not believe it to be feasible that the soul of Gladstone, Disraeli, or of any other erstwhile earth-dweller can be communicated with. The history « f / h V V r ri/f pregnant with evidences of the fact that discarnate spirits have been used by God to communicate divers messages Horn time immemorial, and ’t is only that God will act in the present and tho future as in the past. , , His messages were not much heeded or appreciated when Christ filled, the role of Messiah 1900 years ago. and tile attitude of many , towards God rs no bettor to-day than it was then, for the profoundest respect and consideration, should bo shown to messages that purport to crane from this high source, for souls that are now with God are often mado the bearer of His messages. In some instances messages are transmitted by direst inspiration from God to man on earth, and in other instances from God to discarnate spirits for transmission to man. In either case the advice of th© Auckland "Star” should be followed m the interests of truth. —I am, etc., F. T. MOORE. Johnsonville, November 7th, 1909.
