LINCOLN COLLEGE
A PROGRESSIVE POLICY. Tho work of Dr Hilg&ndorf, 51. A., D.Sc., of Lincoln Agricultural College, is being so arranged that be will be able to devote more time to original work. It is very satisfactory to know this, as the result should prove not only valuable to the farmers of Canterbury, but to the farmers of tho Dominion. .
The College Governors have also decided to appoint a housemaster. This will lighten tho duties of the principal and enable him to give his whole attention to the educational side of tho institution. Tho late principal, Mr Lowrio, combined the duties of principal and housemaster, but for some time before he resigned he found it was too great a tax on him, and that tho combination of duties was a mistake.
