ATTEMPTED SHOOTING
As the result of a "uarrel between twt firemen named Alfred Bender and Bernard Jlums, on the steamer Putiki. at the Ra.lway wharf last night, the former drew a revolver and chased Burns round the ship. He fired one shot, which struck .the foc’sle deck. Bender was arrested, and will be brought before tin* Court this morning.
