RAILWAY COMPLAINTS
(To tho Editor "N.Z. Times.”) Sir, —is the Manawatu railway carried on on the - 'suburbiui.te-be-o«.mued' policy ? Among the many otner complaints ventilated in tne proas, tne seoona-cluss smoker is given the worst end of it. There are usually two two-by-four cubicles for the accommodation of about 150 men by the 5.25 tram. True, there is another piece of a car put on at tho tail-end of the train, but it must be plague stricken, it is so carefully avoided. vVould the railway system be wrecked if two feet more of space were added to the smoker? —1 am, etc., J OH.N SON VILJLE, July 13th.
