IN THE FEDERAL HOUSE. MB REID ON RAND POLICY. By Telegraph—Preaa Association— Copyright (Received July 15, O.'JU a.m.) AilL'liiiOUttiNi’-., Juiy 14. in the House oi Representatives, Mr 0- H. Reid, speaking on the censure motion, saiti the time hud come wnen all big estates must be transformed into Holdings lor single families. The land tax was too slow a process, and resumption by tiie Government, was a foolish policy and entirely too slow. Moreover, it sent up the value of land field by tho State itself. Most of the largo estates had become large by the manipulation of the land policy of tho country. He would like to see a Bill passed declaring their continuance contrary to public x>olicy, that every largo estate should be gradually resumed, and that unless the owners voluntarily divided them the State would do so. Tho Labourites enthusiastically cheered Mr Reid. NEW SOUTH WALES CENSURE MOTION. SYDNEY, July 14. Tho censure motion in the Now South Wales Assembly was negatived by 46 to 30, and tho Address-in-Hcply was carried.
