NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Miramar Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers (King’s Chambers, Willis street, in the City of AVellingtou), on the twenty-first day of June. 1908, it was resolved ; . The Miramar Borough Council, in pursuance and exercise of the power’s and authorities vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908,” "The Local Bodies Loans Act Amendment Act, 1908, and “The Public Health Act, 1908,” and of all other Acts, powers or authorities (if any) vested in it or in anywise enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve (by Special Order)— To-borrow the sum of £3OOO (repayable on the first day of June, 1935) for the purpose of purchasing or otherwise acquiring. All that piece of land situate in the Bor- . ongh of Miramar, containing 3a. 3r. 39p. (more or less), being Lots 2, 3 and I, on Deposited Plan No, ,1908, Wellington Registry, of part .of Section 13. Watt’s . Peninsula District, and being the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 159, folio 96, which said land is required by the Council as a site for the construction of refuse-destroying works and other sanitary works necessary, for the requirements of the said Borough, and the purchase of which said land for such said sanitary works has been recommended by the District Health Officer, and approved of by the Minister of Public Health.
