SUGGESTED AUSTRALIAN OFFICE IN PARIS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received July 13, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, July 13. The British Chamber of Commerce in Paris has offered to open, in connection with its offices .there, a small Australian Bureau for the supply of official information, to examine and endorse bills of lading certificates, to seek reductions in French duties, and to distribute handbooks relating to the Colonies. The Initial annual cost of this scheme to the States would not exceed £SOO. Mr T. A. Coghlan, Agent-General for New South Wales, and Sir Horace Tozer, Agent-General for Queensland, have discussed the matter with the Chamber, on behalf of the other colonial Agents-General.
