MYSTERIOUS TRAGEDY

Mrs Earls, who was concerned in the mysterious tragedy which occurred at Howth, in Dublin Bay, about the middle of November, has been found drowned. Mrs Earls was tlx© sister of Mrs Lloyd, the wife of an official in the Dublin Post Office, and a cable message received on November 18th stated that as they were walking by the cliffs at Kowth (a rocky eminence in Dublin Bay, 563 feet above - the sea), two men demanded money from them. They refused to comply with the demand, and the men seized the two women and threw them over the cliffs. Miss Lloyd was killed outright, and her sister was found in a fainting condition., Mr Lloyd's husband stated at the inquest that he believed she fell over the cliff while attempting to prevent her sister from committing suicide
