LINER DAMAGED
THE TONGARIEO COLLISION WITH ANOTHER STEAMER. NO ONE INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. LONDON, November 28. The royal mail steamer Tongariro collided with the steamer Drumlanrog off Dover.- The Tongariro, which is now anchored at Dover, is badly damaged forward. The forepeak is full of water. ’ The Drumlanrog has been beached. COMPANY’S ADVICE. CHRISTCHURCH, November 28. The New Zealand Shipping Company were to-day in receipt of tho following cablegram from their London office: —“ The Tongariro is at Dover. She has been in collision with tho steamer Drumlanrog. Tho ( Tongariro is seriously damaged, and must return to London. Nobody is injured.”.
Tho Tongariro left London on Thursday for Plymouth, and was to have left Plymouth to-day" for Wellington-
